Amy Winehouse – Latest Member of Somber “Club 27 “

Amy Winehouse left us today, July 23, 2011, at the age of only 27.  It’s always tragic to see the passing of an amazing artist, and Amy will surely be missed by millions. She’s not the first musician to pass away at such a young age, many have actually died at the exact same age of 27, so many so that they have all been grouped together into what is commonly called “Club 27”.  Let’s take a moment today not only to remember Amy’s life, but also the other great musicians who are also a part of “Club 27”.

Keyboardist and singer of The Grateful Dead. Died of gastrointestinal hemorrhage associated with alcoholism, March 8, 1973.
